Bones found in Pueblo County identified

The Pueblo County Sheriff is investigating human bones found in eastern Pueblo County last Friday.

Tuesday afternoon at a news conference Pueblo Sheriff Kirk Taylor identified the remains as Benjamin Clark, 35 of Pueblo. He was reported missing back in October.  His vehicle was found, burned, in the same area where the bones were found, near Garnett Road and 62 Lane.  At that time officers searched a quarter mile area, but did not find the bones.

Monday officers recovered several bones, up to two miles from where the car was found.  All told, they found a skull, a pelvis and some other bones.

The Sheriff's Office is treating the incident as a suspicious death.
