After a public hearing last night and a vote buy City Council, non-cigarette tobacco sales in Pueblo now have to be through licensed businesses.

It includes any smokeless tobacco, hookah, and e-cigarettes.

Those for it, like the Pueblo City-County Health Department, tell us it's because a recent survey found Pueblo's tobacco use in teens is higher than Colorado's teen usage.

There are businesses against the new license ordinance.

Smoker Friendly spoke at the meeting last night and said it will be too costly to follow through with the ordinance, like moving products behind the counter.

This goes into effect in the beginning of March.
