BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old Evergreen man suffered severe head injuries when he fell nearly 15 feet while trying to climb to the roof of a three-story apartment building in Boulder.

The Daily Camera reports Ryan Scott Haebe was taken to a hospital in critical condition early Saturday morning after he slipped from a narrow metal ledge he was standing on with a few friends.

Boulder police spokeswoman Kim Kobel says it was raining at the time and the group of friends had been drinking. She called it "just a really unfortunate accident."
