Boulder psychic convicted of theft from clients

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A Lafayette psychic who told clients she needed their cash to "draw out the bad energy" has been convicted of 14 counts of theft.
A Boulder County jury convicted 55-year-old Nancy Marks of stealing some $300,000 from clients.
The Daily Camera newspaper reports that Marks persuaded clients to hand over cash for safekeeping, and asked for credit card numbers to see how frequently the number six appeared. She didn't return most of the money and used credit cards at Macy's, Target and Sears.
The psychic's defense argued that Marks helped clients who then turned on her.
Marks was also convicted of two counts of tax evasion.
