Boy killed by father's car

Denver police say a 6-year-old boy riding a skateboard died after being struck by his father's car.
Police say the boy's father didn't see his son get in the way of his car Sunday evening in a neighborhood in southwest Denver. The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say "it was just an unfortunate accident." Police say the boy's mother was also in the car when he was hit. The boy's name was not released.
