Dozens of kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo County cruised around the Nature and Raptor Center of Pueblo Thursday afternoon.
"If feels fun," said Zach Sandoval, "I like how the wind blows on me."
Rocky's Rider, a memorial foundation created by Dana Derichsweiler, donated 12 new bikes to the group.
Derichsweiler says the foundation is in honor of her late brother, Rocky, who passed away from cancer. She says even during his toughest times he always lived life to the fullest. That's exactly what she wants to pass along to the kids.
"We want them to just enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the outdoors, enjoy being together with their buddies or their families or their friends," said Derichsweiler.
The bikes will come in handy for some of the kids who are training for a triathlon. The Boys and Girls Club says this is a great donation because many of the kids don't have bikes of their own at home.
