TODAY: As promised....breezy and cooler today. Temps this afternoon will be at least 15 degrees cooler than yesterday. Winds today will be breezy at times with north/northwest winds at 15-25 mph around El Paso County and about 10-15 mph in Pueblo County. Winds out on the eastern plains for La Junta, Las Animas and Lamar will be in excess of 30-40 mph at times. Extreme fire danger again this afternoon! A RED FLAG WARNING starts at noon and lasts until 7 PM for the following counties in our area: EL PASO, FREMONT, TELLER, CROWLEY, BENT & PROWERS. The warning also covers all of northern Colorado, including Denver and the San Luis Valley.
TONIGHT: Starry skies tonight and much colder temps. There is a good chance for areas of freezing temps by tomorrow morning. 32 tonight in the Springs and only about 27 in Pueblo!
THURSDAY: Frosty temps to begin the day and cool again for high temps by afternoon. Highs tomorrow of 62 in the Springs and only 65 in Pueblo. Skies will be sunny to start and finish.
THURS NIGHT/WEDS AM: Clear skies again overnight which will allow temps to drop again. Although it won't be as tomorrow morning we'll still have a pretty good chance of some freezing temps in spots.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY: Weather for your Friday and the weekend will be stellar! Abundant sunshine expected all three days with temps warming nicely to start the weekend. It will be even warmer for all of us on Saturday. Temps of 74 in the Springs and 80 in Pueblo. Temps on Sunday will be almost as warm with more sunshine for all of the eastern half of the state. Temps overnight will stay mild as well and we won't have any risk for freezing temps.
MONDAY-TUESDAY: More sunshine expected to start the new week. Thanks to another cool front coming through, temps will be about 3-5 degrees cooler on Monday compared to Sunday and another 3-5 degrees cooler still for Tuesday.
