Bridge construction planned in Pueblo on I-25

Some lanes will be closed overnight over the next few weeks on I-25 in Pueblo for bridge repairs.
The right lane southbound will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. from 29th Street to the La Junta Interchange, Monday through Thursday. Speed limits will also be reduced in the area.
The ramp from westbound Highway 50 to southbound I-25 will also be closed during the same hours.
"The girders for the ramp overpass have been hit on more than one occasion by taller trucks so we need to remove some concrete and then re-patch it with new concrete," says CDOT Project Engineer Rod Abbott. "It's a safety improvement since we're maintaining the long-term stability of the bridge."
