The Denver Broncos made a special trip to Fort Carson Tuesday to thank the service men and women. Cheerleaders, players, and Miles the Mascot ate lunch, signed autographs, and took pictures with troops for a few hours, leaving around 2:45 p.m.
It was meant to pay gratitude to the soldiers' service, but players like Air Force alum Ben Garland were the thankful ones.
"Today was an awesome experience, we got to come down here to Fort Carson, and just thank the troops," says Ben Garland, Air Force alum and Broncos offensive lineman. "Thank the troops from the bottom of our hearts for all they do, not only overseas, but within our community. We had the floods, the fires, and these are the guys on the front line."
