COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado anti-tax activist Douglas Bruce has agreed to testify before a grand jury in exchange for immunity.

Thursday's announcement follows Bruce's initial appearance before the grand jury Wednesday that ended with Bruce saying he didn't want to testify and prosecutors asking that he be held in contempt of court. El Paso County District Attorney Dan May says Bruce is a witness, not the target of the investigation. Grand jury proceedings are secret.

In a separate case, the Colorado attorney general has asked that Bruce be held in contempt of court for not testifying in a hearing
on who's financing three statewide ballot measures. Bruce says he was never served the subpoena. State officials say they tried serving him 30 times.
