Budget woes could impact Pueblo teachers

Some teachers in Pueblo may lose their jobs as Pueblo City Schools works to trim its budget. The school board needs to cut about $5.5 million out of the budget for the upcoming school year.

One recommendation right now, is to eliminate 28 teaching positions.School board president Stephanie Garcia, says the board is also considering making teachers take one furlough day and other staff members would take five furlough days.

The school board won't make any final decisions until June.
