The volunteers at the PAWS for Life animal shelter in Pueblo hope their puppy Buffy will hop into the hearts of a family this Easter weekend. Buffy is a 3-4 month old Shepherd Collie mix who has been spayed and had all of her shots.

Buffy's coat is primarily black but she has a few light patches of white on her tail and paws. Marilyn Thompson of PAWS for Life recommends that potential families be prepared to spend some time training Buffy. However, she was able to quickly pick up the "sit" command during her visit to the newsroom Sunday morning.

PAWS for Life is open daily (including on Easter) from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at 800 N. Pueblo Boulevard and can be reached by phone at 719-543-6464.
