Three days away from Broncos training camp, not that anyone is counting, we certainly aren't. The Broncos off-season was the stuff of legend, both coming and going and especially those wide receivers. Eric Decker is gone, and Wes Welker is under contract.
And Julius Thomas is watching every league deal that involves a tight end. Andre Caldwell could have a break out year maybe, the third year Bronco could go for broke after another year in the playbook with Peyton Manning, and the loss of the Super Bowl is on his mind and it's only fueling the motivation.
"You have to take some good with the bad and it's something I'll look back on when I get older and tell my kids about, that I was apart of a great offense in denver," says Caldwell. "To have the trust of the coaching staff and Peyton Manning and also my peers on the team, that also means a lot so I'm just going to go out there and give everything I got and hopefully I don't disappoint, and make this team a better team than we was last year and get a superbowl ring."
Players report on Wednesday, camp opens Thursday, and the first preseason game is August 7th against Seattle.
