CC swipes 2-1 victory in series opener at Minnesota State

Senior center David Civitarese struck for his fifth goal of the season at 1:28 of overtime Friday, lifting Colorado College to a 2-1 victory over Minnesota State University in the opener of the team's two-game series at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato, Minn.
Sophomore netminder Josh Thorimbert made a career-high 37 saves to backstop the triumph, while sophomore right wing Jeff Collett also scored for CC?midway through the second period.
