A Colorado woman says she's angry that a restaurant served her three children strawberry daiquiris instead of the strawberry smoothies she ordered.
Pam Bruenning of Longmont says her children, ages 8, 6 and 1, were served the full-tilt drinks during a July 4 outing at a local Chili's restaurant. The 29-year-old mother tells the Longmont Times-Call her oldest daughter became ill.
Police reports say Bruenning ordered a non-alcoholic daiquiri in three children's cups. She says she didn't know it contained alcohol until tasting the drink after her daughter complained.
Restaurant employees blame miscommunication between the bartender and the server for the mistake. The Chili's restaurant chain said in a statement that it's cooperating with authorities and conducting its own investigation.
The city prosecutor is reviewing the police report.
