Civic leader Fay Kastelic dead at 92

Former Pueblo City Council Member Fay Kastelic has died at the age of 92.  She moved to Pueblo in 1946 and never lost her Texas drawl, but always considered Pueblo her home.

At one public meeting in the 90s she quipped, "I've always said the best thing to come out of Texas was I-25."  She was always quick to laugh and treated people with great respect.  Before she was elected to the council, she was an administrator in School District 70.

A public memorial service is planned for Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Praise Assembly of God church at 2000 Troy Avenue in Pueblo.
