Class of 2015 to start basic training

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Members of the Air Force Academy class of 2015 will soon arrive to start basic cadet training.

The new class of cadets is scheduled to arrive Thursday morning. The incoming 1,159 cadets include nine from other countries, including the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Georgia. The new class of cadets is scheduled to arrive Thursday morning. The incoming 1,159 cadets include nine from other countries, including the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Georgia. The cadets were chosen from 12,713 applications.

The new arrivals will be known as basic cadet trainees during the training, which runs through July 30. They'll swear to the Honor Oath - and then it's off to classes, which start Aug. 4.
