Clinton: Obama faces same debate from `92 bid

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Bill Clinton is using the 20th anniversary of the launch of his presidential bid to offer a vigorous defense of President Barack Obama against what he calls the same anti-government stance he faced during his campaign and presidency.

Clinton told a crowd of about 5,000 people gathered outside the Old State House Museum in downtown Little Rock that Obama faces a
different set of challenges than he did in 1992. But Clinton says Obama faces the same debate over the role of government. Clinton spoke at an event marking the anniversary of his 1991 announcement that he'd run for president. He told the crowd that he decided to run because he believed the country needed a new kind of politics and a new economics.
