Quiet weather is in place for our Friday, but it won't stay that way for the weekend.
Today will be a day with mostly cloudy skies. However, even though it's cloudy, there's still sunshine. The clouds are those high, thin clouds that will give us filtered sunshine. As for temperatures, they'll climb about ten degrees warmer than yesterday. That'll put us in the 40s and 50s.
Through the overnight, clouds thicken up. This is going to leave us with a relatively cloudy weekend for everyone in SE Colorado. Along with the clouds, we'll also have some spotty showers around. It won't be a washout of a weekend, but these showers will be around from noon Saturday through all of Sunday. It looks like Saturday is slightly more favorable for less rain compared to Sunday.
Next week will start how the weekend ends. BUT.... there is some NICE weather coming by the middle of the week. As more sunshine comes through, highs will be climbing into the 60s and 70s for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Have a good weekend... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
