Cloudy, wet, and cool today

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the Teller and El Paso Counties through 9pm today. This includes the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars. If you live in a flood prone area, you need to be on high alert today!

Widespread rain will cover much of Southern Colorado today with the heaviest rain expected to fall during the afternoon and evening hours. Areas along and west of I-25 including the foothills and eastern mountains will likely see over an inch of rain through tonight with isolated areas possibly picking up 2 to 3 inches. Highs today will be in the 60s/70s which is about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

It'll be a cloudy, wet, and cool start to the week, but drier weather is on the way. An isolated shower or storm is possible for some Monday. Expect it to be mainly dry for the rest of the week with only isolated storms forecast for the mountains each day. Temperatures will warm up with highs in the 70s/80s across the lower elevations Tuesday through Saturday.
