LUSK, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist is dead after a crash on U.S. 85 about 50 miles north of Lusk.

The patrol says 46-year-old Jefferson L. Adams of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, was riding his motorcycle Thursday afternoon behind a vehicle pulling a 28-foot camper trailer when the vehicle slowed to make a left turn.

Investigators say Adams tried to pass on the left, just as the vehicle driven by 27-year-old Damon Hand of Colorado Springs, Colo., was turning. Adams struck the camper unit and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The patrol says Adams and his motorcycle became entangled under the trailer at the axles as Hand continued turning, and Adams was pinned under the trailer and dragged. He died at a hospital.
