A wave of snow early this morning will exit the area by mid-to-late morning, but an upslope wind flow may generate more snow later today, especially in higher elevations west of I-25. Any leftover snow will fade away tonight. Clouds will also move away, and temperatures will become frigid with teens and 20's overtaking Southern Colorado tonight. A warming trend begins tomorrow, when most of us will warm into the 50's. After tomorrow 60's and 70's return, and by this weekend some near-80-degree readings are possible.
The bottom line: coats are a necessity today. Light jackets will probably work for you tomorrow after the early morning deep chill. After tomorrow, you can stash the jackets away through at least the weekend.
