Colo. youth pastor sentenced for sex assault

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) - A volunteer youth pastor who pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault on a child received a sentence of six years to life in prison.

Forty-seven-year-old William Thomas McLauglin was arrested in 2009 on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teenage member of the Denver Church of Christ. Prosecutors say three other victims came forward in the year after McLauglin's arrest.

He was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in June to two counts of child sexual assault by a person in a position of trust.
