Colorado Family Survives Asiana 214 Plane Crash

A Colorado family was on Asiana flight 214 when it crashed about a week ago in San Francisco. The Jang family lives in Greenwood Village, about an hour from Colorado Springs.

The parents were born in South Korea and took their three children there for their first visit. They wanted the kids to learn about their heritage and culture firsthand. But the trip home turned into a frightening situation, when the plane crashed upon landing.

"I looked over to my mom and dad - and I - all three of us were like calling their names and we just heard them moaning, so we knew that they were still alive," said son Joseph Jang.

All five members of the Jang family are back home in Colorado now. The children suffered only minor injuries, but the parents were more seriously hurt in the crash. They are expected to make a full recovery.

"I feel really blessed and I thank God that all of us made it out of the crash," said daughter Esther Jang.

Her father, Jun Jang added, "I just thank God that you know. I think his hands, you know, was on us to protect us."
