Colorado lawmaker loses powerful position

DENVER (AP) - A Colorado state senator involved in a fatal crash in Texas is being passed over as head of the Senate Transportation Committee.
Sen. Suzanne Williams was next in line for committee head, but Senate Majority Leader John Morse says he's concerned that she won't be able to devote full-time to the job.
The accident remains under investigation.
