SAN LUIS, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man wanted in connection with a homicide in Colorado has been arrested in southern Arizona.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say 35-year-old Consuelo Zavala was selected for additional questioning Tuesday when he attempted to enter Arizona through a pedestrian lane at the San Luis Port of Entry.
They say a records check showed Zavala was wanted on a homicide warrant out of Weld County, Colorado.
He was arrested and turned over to San Luis police for extradition.
Details on Zavala's case weren't immediately available Wednesday and CBP officials didn't know whether he had a lawyer yet.
