Colorado is among the 10 best states in the country to make a living according to a new ranking compiled by the website money-rates.com.
The survey compared unemployment rates with average wages, tax rates and the cost of living index in each state.
According to the report, Illinois is the best state to make a living with workers earning $41,120 a year on average. Colorado ranks 9th with an average income of $38,020 a year. The worst state is Hawaii averaging only $22,108.
