Colorado Rapids re-sign Smith

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) - Fifth-year midfielder Jamie Smith has re-signed with the Colorado Rapids.
Smith has played in 56 games for the Rapids, scoring six goals and assisting on 13 others. He missed most of last season with a knee injury.
A native of Alexandria, Scotland, Smith originally signed with the Rapids in July 2009 after playing five seasons in the Scottish Premiere League.
