A Colorado Springs man is in jail for allegedly stalking an underage girl for at least two years.
Colorado Springs police say they arrested Andrew Hamilton-Hardin, 18, early Sunday morning after the juvenile girl called 911 to report that Hamilton-Hardin was on her roof and banging on her window around 4:15 a.m. When an officer arrived, Hamilton-Hardin jumped from the roof and ran toward the parking lot of nearby Liberty High School, where he was to be picked up by a friend. However, the officer was able to intercept Hamilton-Hardin and detain him.
Further investigation revealed Hamilton-Hardin had been stalking the underage girl for more than two years and her parents had taken steps to try to prevent him from having any contact with her. Hamilton-Hardin was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on harassment-stalking charges. He is due for advisement in court Monday.
