Colorado Springs neighborhood wakes up to suspicious death investigation

A Colorado Springs neighborhood woke up Sunday morning to a suspicious death investigation. Detectives and officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department Major Crimes Unit are searching for clues surrounding the discovery of a person found dead this morning in the 1600 block of Rushmore Drive.
Officers were first dispatched to the scene at 12:55 am and the Colorado Springs Police Department Spokesperson, Sgt. Darrin Abbink is due to make a report to the media shortly.
Right now there are very few details available to be released as the investigation is in its very early stages. KOAA News 5 has a crew headed to the scene.
Any information we release from this point will be confirmed official reports from those conducting the investigation or those directly related to the case.
