Colorado Springs Utilities is holding a series of public meetings to help develop a long term strategic plan for how electricity is generated locally.
The last time the plan was updated was in 2008, "The economic landscape has changed, the number of mandates has changed as far as what could be required when it comes to renewable standards. So there's a lot of changes already just since 2008 that we need to go back to our customers and go back to the plan and do a pretty thorough update of it," says Steve Berry with Colorado Springs Utilities.
The first of 3 meetings is tomorrow night from 5:30-7:00 at the Penrose Library in the Carnegie room.
If you can't go to the meeting you can also let them know what you think on their Facebook page, just click here.
