FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Daniel Bejarano scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds Friday night to lift Colorado State past Division II UC Colorado Springs 99-70.
Bejarano finished 7 for 13 and also had five assists for the Rams (1-0). Five other CSU players also scored in double digits.
The Rams shot 60 percent from the floor and had a much easier time with this Division II opponent than with Regis, another D-II team the Rams beat by only a point earlier this month.
Derrick White had 26 points for UCCS. This was an exhibition game for the Mountain Lions, who finished last season shooting better than 50 percent in four straight games but hit just 33.3 percent against the Rams.
