More good news for the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. Recently released figures show the 11-day fair run this year turned a profit of roughly $980,000. That's up about $160,000 from the 2009 fair.
General Manager Chris Wiseman says the fair saw higher food and carnival sales. However the rodeo and other events at the grandstand continued to fair poorly--they lost about $56,000.
Overall Wiseman says with higher profits and half a million visitors, this year's fair was a success.
