Construction starts on massive underground pipeline

Construction has started on a billion dollar pipeline project in Southern Colorado. The Southern Delivery System will transfer water from the Pueblo Dam to Colorado Springs, Fountain, Security and Pueblo West.
Tonight on News First 5 at 5 p.m. we'll talk about how long the project will last, jobs it will create and how it will impact water bills.
There's another side to this story. About ten homeowners are upset about the underground pipeline going through their properties. SDS will compensate property owners--who will still retain the land. However some of them want more money. We'll have that story on News First 5 at 6 p.m.
