So today's not the greatest day unfortunately. But some of you do like the cool down that we're experiencing. Enjoy it today, because the heat is going to crank back up by the 4th.
Today will be just like yesterday. Mostly cloudy skies will be around, as well as a few spotty showers and cool temperatures. Highs will stay in the low 70s for Springs and low 80s for Pueblo.
The weather starts to change on Thursday. Instead of the clouds and cool temperatures from Tuesday and Wednesday, we'll climb back to more seasonal averages as the sunshine returns. This means highs will be in the 80s and 90s Thursday with partly sunny skies. Now, we could still see a spotty shower, but it won't be widespread.
4th of July forecast calls for even more heat! From Friday through Sunday, temperatures will climb well into the 80s, 90s, even 100s! So it'll definitely feel festive for any bar-b-ques or picnics. Each day we'll stay partly to mostly sunny, but do know that a pop-up shower or two is going to be possible at anytime, especially late afternoon/evening hours.
The better chance for rain will come with a storm system from the west. This means we'll likely see rain for a good portion of the area Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
Hope you're enjoying the break from the heat... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
