A cold front is approaching and will sweep across Colorado early Thursday morning. For Wednesday, a few showers will develop ahead of the cold front. Most of the showers will be over the mountains, but a few those showers will move away from the mountains during the late afternoon. The closer to the mountains you are, the better your odds are of seeing rain this afternoon.
Also ahead of the cold front will be warmth. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 80's around Colorado Springs with upper 80's around Pueblo. Along and south of the Arkansas River, highs will range from the mid-80's to the low 90's, while Teller County will warm only into the 70's.
Temperatures will drop by at least 10 degrees behind the cold front for Thursday and Friday.
