We had a really nice day Tuesday despite the wind and a few clouds. Highs were very seasonable in the 80s and low 90s. Overnight, the cool down will continue. Our pesky, and persistant storm to our north will leave the last of it's punch on Thursday. This will swing a cool front through the area. Once we get behind this, the clouds will clear. That front will also bring us some cooler temperatures. The coolest we'll see for a while with lots of highs dropping into the 70s.
Friday there could be a shower or two to the east along the Kansas boarder. Otherwise, no rain until the earliest on Sunday. And in the meantime, temperatures are going back up with highs Friday and Saturday in the 80s and 90s. Sunday's rain chances are looking smaller and smaller, but never-the-less there's still a chance for a spotty shower or two. But by all means, don't cancel any outdoor events this weekend though at this point.
Early next week is going to be everyone's best chance for seeing showers. This will be around for much of Monday and Tuesday, maybe even a few lingering showers on Wednesday as well.
Hope you enjoy the little heat reprieve on Thursday... Meteorologist Valerie Abati.
