America's best basketball players are hooping up in Colorado Springs right now.
The Olympic Training Center is hosting the men's FIBA under 18 championships this week. Some of the top recruits in the nation will team up against different countries from North, South, and Central America. One of the nation's top recruits likes what he sees so far.
"It's been great. I think anytime you can get the best players at your age in the same gym, its always going to be nice," says Stanley Johnson, a guard for Team USA. "As I'm transitioning into college, I kind of need this competition early in the season, and this is the best place to get it in this kind of environment. So I'm happy to be here again, this will be my fourth time going for a gold medal, and I'm excited."
Johnson is one the nation's number-one recruit and will head to Arizona next year. If the U.S. makes the gold medal game, that would be next Tuesday night.
