ALAMOSA, Colo. (AP) - A couple arrested in Colorado faces murder charges after the man was pulled over driving the truck of a man who'd gone missing in Arlington, Texas.
Forty-three-year-old Thomas Eugene Dunham was stopped by officers in Alamosa on June 7. He was driving a truck that belonged to 62-year-old Jerry Roberts of Arlington, Texas. Officers in Texas were called to Roberts' home for a welfare check in early May and
found blood stains on a chair.
Dunham's girlfriend, 38-year-old Erin Leanne Guthrie, was staying at a nearby homeless shelter and was arrested, too. Guthrie was Roberts' roommate; police say she used Roberts' debit card after Roberts went missing.
Guthrie and Dunham have both been charged with murder and remain in custody in the Alamosa County Jail. Bail was set at $500,000 for each.
