Craigslist post under investigation

A mother posted an ad on Craigslist to give away her newborn baby, saying the baby would die if no one came forward.

Saturday morning we were told it was a hoax but police say that's not the case and, they are actively searching for whoever posted that ad. They say they found the IP address where the posting came from, but haven't found the people who posted it.

The ad has been pulled down now. It mentioned putting the baby in a dumpster. Police have checked all around the area and say they are taking the case seriously.

Police say the ad is a reminder about the Safe Haven Law, it's designed to let parents leave their children at fire stations or emergency rooms, without facing charges.
