The tar spill that closed Highway 24 on the western edge of Colorado Springs is now cleaned up, just in time for the evening commute. Crews have been busy scraping the goo off westbound Highway 24 since around 1p.m. It spilled as a result of a traffic accident.
While crews were working on the clean-up, traffic was diverted onto Colorado Avenue.
