CSFD fights fire at eastern Colorado Springs apartment complex

COLORADO SPRINGS - Nobody was injured as firefighters quickly put out an apartment fire in eastern Colorado Springs.  The Colorado Springs Fire Department say that 2 adults and 4 children will be displaced after a second-floor apartment caught fire at the Esperanza Village Apartments.  CSFD says it took 21 minutes to put out the fire.  Damage from smoke can be seen around two second-floor windows.

CSFD credits working smoke detectors for alerting the family to the family and allowing all of them to escape unharmed.

The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.
