CSPD searching for suspect in armed kidnapping, sex assault

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Colorado Springs Police have just released information about an armed kidnapping and sexual assault that happened Sunday night.

Police say a 37-year-old woman was kidnapped at gunpoint while walking from the Ivywild Inn on South Nevada to her home on East Brookside. It happened between 10pm and 11pm on November 24th. She says the man took her up to Chipita Park, sexually assaulted her, then dropped her off back in Colorado Springs.

She described her captor as a white man in his early 50's, between 6'0" and 6'2" tall. She says he was an average build with graying hair and a receeding horseshoe hairstyle.

The suspect vehicle was described as an early 2000's style, unknown make and model pickup truck in a "bright blue" color. The front seat was described as a bench type seat extending across the cab with no gear shift on the floor between the front driver and passenger seats. The victim did not recall if the vehicle had Colorado license plates.
