Detectives with the Colorado Springs Police Department entered Charles Wingate and Sharon Starkey's home Friday evening to collect evidence.
Crews were wearing jumpsuits and face masks as they made entry into the residence located at 6120 Corinth Drive. Detectives spent about an hour inside the home and left with a suit case and two evidence bags. Somebody had opened the blinds inside the home and from the outside, you could see filth and debris stacked up a good three to four feet in the living room.
A foul odor could also be picked up from about 5-10 feet away.
The Colorado Springs Police Department PIO has advised detectives and police not to speak with the media about any evidence recovered Friday evening. News 5 crews on-scene were told new information may be available Monday.
