Colorado State University officials are looking to China for new students, partnerships and revenue.

There are 20 undergraduate students and 91 graduate students from China studying at CSU this year, for a total of 111 Chinese students. Jim Cooney is CSU's vice provost for international affairs. He is hoping the number of Chinese students studying at CSU will double during the next two years.

Overall, CSU has 891 international students from 82 countries this year.

At current tuition rates, an international student pays nearly four times out of pocket what a Colorado resident pays for the same education. China and India each have a large emerging middle class that could afford an education at CSU.
