DENVER (AP) - The University of Colorado Denver is launching a program designed to help military veterans find jobs and move into leadership roles as they return to civilian life.
The "Boots to Suits" program announced Thursday will include
internships, job placement and mentoring by business leaders for veterans who are seniors at CU Denver.
It will also have a fund to pay for business clothes for veterans to wear to job interviews.
CU Denver officials say they have at least 15 mentors lined up and are looking for more.
The school says it has more than 700 student veterans and expects that number to triple in the next three years.
