Customers help employee hold robbery suspect

An observant employee stopped a theft at a local store with the help of customers.

Colorado Springs Police say an employee at the Walgreen's Drug Store on Southgate Rd., saw a man allegedly take a box of razors and hide them in his clothes Sunday evening around 7:30pm.

The employee told police that he asked the suspect to put the razors back, but the suspect punched him instead, and tried to leave. That is when the employee grabbed the man, and customers in the store jumped in to help and held the suspect until police got on-scene.

The suspect, 23-year old Daniel Munoz was arrested and faces Robbery charges. Munoz is at the Criminal Justice Center with a 10-thousand dollar bond.
