D 11 Schools and Admin temporarily locked down

Two D 11 Schools and District Admin officers were temporarily locked down while police were searching for a suspect who was believed to be armed in the area. Police were called to a traffic accident at Cache La Poudre and prospect where one driver was seen fleeing from the scene. The suspect was reported to have been a 16 year old male who may have been armed.
North Middle, Taylor Elementry and the District 11 Administrative offices were put on a lock-down status while police searched the area. Schools were locked down for about an hour.
At 9:00 am the affected schools were allowed to re-open. There were no threats made directly towards the schools. Colorado Springs Police report they have the suspect in custody.
