The Lewis Palmer School Board has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Raymond H. Blanch. Blanch has been in D-38 for 9 years, and has worked as principal, and Assistant Superintendent. Blanch says he is stepping down for both personal and professional reasons, as part of his contract he will be paid $78,500. His last day will be June 30th.
The school board plans to meet in the coming days to appoint an acting Superintendent to take over on July 1st, until an interim superintendent can take over for the 2010-2011 school year. A nation wide search will take place during the next school year to find someone to fill the spot on a more permanent basis.
