Pueblo County's school district has voted to go to a four-day school week, next school year. During tonight's District 70 school board meeting, board members voted unanimously for the change, in order to save some $1.1 Million.
While several parents and teachers who spoke at the meeting agreed that it is not a great situation for the kids, they say it is necessary in order to save money.
The school board also approved one furlough day for all administrators, to be taken throughout the month of March. The district needs to cut $5.8 Million from next year's budget.
